Former Leeds United manager Simon Grayson is to become manager of League One promotion contenders Huddersfield Town, BBC Sport understands.
The former Aston Villa and Leicester City defender was sacked by Leeds owner Ken Bates just three weeks ago.
Huddersfield dismissed manager Lee Clark last week, despite lying fourth in the division.
Prior to defeat by Charlton in November, Clark presided over a club-record run of 43 league games unbeaten.
Grayson guided Leeds to promotion from League One to the Championship in his first full season at the club, before fininishing seventh in their first season back in the Championship.
